Blue Book Regions 8 & 10 Errors and Addenda to First
Edition - Kirk Doan
I was the Editor of the patch issue listings Regions 8 and 10
of THE BLUE BOOK, STANDARD ORDER OF THE
ARROW INSIGNIA CATALOG, FIRST EDITION
1996, and SECOND EDITION 1998. Please send any additions or
corrections to me for consideration for listing in the next
edition at kirkdoan@sbcglobal.net.
Please either send me a color photo/photostat, or black and white
with the colors indicated, as well as the use or history of the
patch, date of issue, etc. so it complies with out listing
protocol. Following is a listing of issues which have come out
since the cutoff date of the Blue Book, or which were omitted or
incorrectly identified, through the 1997 National Scout Jamboree.
The following listings follow the order of the legend bar in The
Blue Book: Issue & Variety; Border Type & Color;
Background Color; Name Color; FDL Color; and Comments. Please
follow the following link to see errors
and additions to The Blue Book, Second
Edition 1998.
We are now working on the Third Edition which will be released
at the 2000 NOAC in July of 2000. If you know of any issues for
the Regions 8 & 10 Lodges throught the 1997 Jamboree not
listed here, please let me know ASAP! The Blue Book, Second
Edition is now available for mail order from many dealers, and
the Third Edition will be available at the 2000 National Order of
the Arrow Conference.
